Joel Hill wondered:

>Is he still around and his he recording anything these days?

Google found this post (from January 2004) at the Raff Forum
(http://www.raff.org/oldforum/threads/116.htm):

There have been a few questions about Michael Ponti. As far as I
know, Ponti is still active as a concert artist. He will turn 67
    this year.

I wrote to Mr. Ponti many years ago (1987) to thank him for his
pioneering efforts to resurrect forgotten romantic repertory. He
was living in Germany, and as far as I know he continues to
    reside there.

Curiously, I heard from another person that in concert Ponti
performed only the standard repertory. Isn't that curious?

I also discovered a seventh volume of the Romantic Piano Concertos of
whose existence I'd been unaware. The Ponti CDs I found at several
online outlets were all on Vox and, as far as I can remember, were all
released in the 1970s +/- a few years. Is Vox still recording anything
or are all their CDs back catalogue?
