Hello friends, After an absence of about a year, browsing through the
interesting archives of the classical music mailing list, I was tempted
to rejoin the list.  Good to see that a lot of the familiar names are
still around.

Living in the Netherlands, I am an (amateur) musician (singer), writing
on music for a few magazines and a hyperactive concert-go er and CD buyer,
although I slowed down recently on the latter.

My favorite composers are Messiaen, Ravel, Janacek, Mozart, Charpentier,
Haydn and Bach.  I'm really looking forward to rejoining all the
interesting discussions.

I'll try to report a lot on Dutch musical concert life.

As a starter I will be posting something later today on Messiaen in the
"Music and Colors" thread.
