Judging by the number of annual subscriptions to Sports Illustrated
versus, say, Gramophone (feel free to insert the classical music magazine
of your choice here), there would seem to be at the very least millions
if not tens of millions who would indeed "site" great historical football
plays as a window on the American way of life.  Perhaps they are not the
same people with whom you choose to socialize, but they are a very large
and integral percentage of this country's population.

Kevin also asserted that

To which I can only reply that while Tolstoy is obviously one of the
most brilliant writers in history, the condescending, dismissive attitude
Kevin displays towards an entire medium indicates that he clearly hasn't
read enough comic books.
