I bought the Sutherland / Corelli recording of Faust when it came out many
years ago.  The liner notes claimed to have printed all the known libretto
and mentioned that a relative of Gounod's was withholding access to the
information that they had on the opera.

I haven't bought any more copies of Faust since, and haven't heard anything
about an updated version.  has any more material come to light? I suspect
that the relative is not still living and wondered if anyone knew any more
recent news.
