A few weeks after George Gelles switched from the Philharmonia Baroque to
the Carmel Bach Festival to be the executive director there (Bruno Weil:
"I have the highest respect for George Gelles...and I look forward to the
contributions he will undoubtedly make..."), Gelles is gone, there is an
acting director in place, and the search is on once again for heading the
festival...  and making contributions to Weil...:)

Word is that Gelles went to Europe with his wife (a former board member of
the Phil Baroque), who got a job there.  To finish the story I am working
on, I'd appreciate finding out what/where/how/why.
