My recommendation for complete LvB symphonies, on a budget:

(1) Leonard Zinman/Tonhalle Orchestra, on Arte Nova Classics: a steal for
under $25, with playing thats exciting and great digital sound.

(2) Frans Brugen/ Orchestra of the 18th Century: played with period
instruments and I think its now available as a complete set at budget price.

(3) George Szell/Cleveland, on Sony's Essential Classics: recordings that I
come back to time and again, smooth and beautiful playing.
