As pointed out by other posters, standing horns are in the score of the
Mahler 1 final movement, much to the chagrin of a New York Times critic
who in a recent review accused the Minnesota Orchestra (I'm on the staff,
BTW) of "a grandstand play" when following the composer's instruction.
