My brother-in-law, recently deeply enthused by Andreas Scholl, advises
that Scholl has recently recorded some Vivaldi arias with the Australian
Brandenburg Orchestra, which is an antipodean version of Musica Antiqua
Koln et al.  There are similarities between the arias on this CD and those
on Cecilia Bartoli's Vivaldi album.  The Scholl is to be released on Decca
later this year.
