Has anyone but me ever heard the Sonatas and Partitas as recorded by
Brnislaus (sp?) Gimpel? They were available on the Dover label in the
mid-sixties, at about the same time that the Grumiaux came out. they were
in mono and probably a reissue of some obscure original. Of course, Dover
Records was a very small label as far as I could tell and, ultimately,
pretty obscure itself.
