Nor do I.  Moreover:  I don't know anybody who had tried to do it "in
earnest".  Mind associations simply happen, and they usually don't ask
for permission to do that.  But I'm intrigued:  why wouldn't be serious to
think in a precise colour at hearing (or mentioning) a Mahler's symphony?.
Would this "degrade" the music?.  Would this be a symptom that I'm nuts?.
In that case let's state this clearly:  I'm *seriously* nuts.
