About a month ago, there was some discussion about a Naxos CD of Hummel's
Missa Solemnis in C. I wrote:

>The choir on the CD is called TOWER Voices New Zealand, as it TOWER is
>an acronym. I couldn't see anything in the notes to explain this, but
>I doubt that it's named for the store chain.

I've received this e-mail which I thought might interest other
purchasers of the CD:

Hi there, Richard - I was hunting the web for reviews of the
Hummel CD of sacred choral music from Naxos and came across
your response to someone's question about release dates for
the CD. I notice that people are a little unsure how the
choir got it's name, and being a singer in TOWER Voices New
Zealand, thought I'd fill you in - our sponsor is the Tower
Insurance Company. You can check out more details at
    http://www.youthchoir.org.nz/about_voices.htm . Enjoy the
    CD!

    Kind regards,
    David Squire
