Speaking of Smith's Chopin, there's a newly reissued 2-cd set on EMI
Gemini of Smith playing the Mazurkas. Is anyone familiar with the
interpretations?

A few weeks ago I picked up Chopin's Mazurkas performed by Andrew Rangell
on Dorian. It's a very good set that places high priority on the music's
rhythmic energy, quite the opposite of what Anderszewski does with them
in his Chopin recital disc.
