I'm something of a fan of clarinetist David Shifrin, and a disproportionate
fraction of my CD collection is chamber music. Most of that is baroque
through early romantic.
Because of the latter, I've hesitated to run out and buy the recently
released Debussy complete chamber music by the Chamber Music Society of
Lincoln Center, w/Shifrin as artistic director and clarinetist. It goes
for mid price, making it more attractive.
Do any list members have commentary on either this recording in particular
or its contents in general?
Thanks,
William Jenks
