Just to point out an interesting book by Marcel Brion, whose title in
English should sound like "Everyday life in Vienna at the time of Mozart
and Schubert". Historically very accurate without being a bore, it makes
for a pleasant reading. Not a new entry (1959), nonetheless it is well
suited to everyone wishing to look at composers from an eye-level point
of view.

330 pages and some nice anecdotes, but my shaky English prevents me from
going any further.
