Oh yuck!  Sorry, but I really can't stand the Gardiner, it's as profound
as his Missa Solemnis (i.e., for me, not at all).

Richter still holds sway for me, although Marriner is not at all bad (and
has Janet Baker).  I'm still waiting for the HIP B minor which really grabs
me by the throat.
