Absolutely.  Beethoven's eighth represents the best in musical humor,
cynical perhaps, but funny.  This is Beethoven poking fun at the classical
music world of his day.  Anyone who cannot hear the slapdash all the way
through this great work is missing something terrific and should go back
for another listen.
