In a puzzling fashion, except for the tradition of American unfamiliarity
with geography, opening shots of US flags and Navy jets at today's SF-St.
Louis game, were accompanied by the "Flying Dutchman" Overture. A long
sequence of pictures followed from Giants and Cardinals games with a
"Carmina Burana"-*like* accompaniment that I could not identify - suspect
a movie soundtrack mistreatment of the lively Mr. Orff. Anyone?

BTW, is there an operatic equivalent of Atlanta's Chipper Jones grounding
into a double play on Monday, leaving Giants fans (and the players)
unbelieving and victorious?
