If it's not already been mentioned, trombone lovers should all listen to
Christopher Rouse's Pulitzer-winning Trombone Concerto.  The Lindberg BIS
recording is slightly better conducted, but Alessi's tone on RCA with the
Colorado Symphony is better.

I attended the Winnipeg festival recently (a review is forthcoming), and
had the joy of seeing over 1000 people give this work a cheering, standing
ovation.  Don't miss it--and with the RCA you get Rouse's incredible
"Gorgon."
