"Gloomy Sunday," a not terribly good new German film being shown in SF at
the "Berlin & Beyond" Festival, is about a Hungarian pop song that caused
an epidemic of suicides around the world in the early 1940s (perhaps the
events that transpired in Europe had something to do with people being
depressed). Now I find out that the BBC was among radio stations actually
*banning* the song to prevent further devastation!
