Horribly unmusical response, but did you listen to the SACD layer? 
Better yet, the 3 channel?  The company "Oppo" makes and astonishingly
good Universal player; there are tons of cheapy 5 channel amps available
in the thrifts, then get a matching center speaker and...wow.
