Not exactly a contest, but my "25th SFO opening night" claim has been
easily pre-empted by Bob Commanday's 35.  The long-time former S.F.
Chronicle music critic (and three-time president of the Music Critics
Association [before they let Canadians in to make it MCANA]) has written a
delightful account of all those tuxedo'd occasions, in his San Francisco
Classical Voice Web 'zine, at http://www.sfcv.org/
