Yesterday I mailed my application to Juilliard (I plan to study piano
there).  One of the many reasons I am sure it will be a fascinating
experience (assuming I get accepted, which is an assumption I am not so
daring as to make) is that I have never been to New York City before...
While browsing www.juilliard.edu today, I noted the following:

   Paul Hall is where most musicians present recitals during their
   training and many master classes take place.  Morse Hall, a smaller
   space with complete flexibility in seating configuration...

Translation:  we never know how the janitors are going to set up the
folding chairs?:)
