I own at least four recordings of this marvelous piece.  My own favorite
is by the two great Czech ensembles: The Smetana Quartet and the Janacek
Quartet, on Supraphon.  It is coupled with a gorgeous recording by the Suk
Trio of the Mendelssohn Piano Trio Op 49, his other great piece of chamber
music.  I recommend this recording most highly!
