Bocelli's huge and quick popularity sits poorly with many list members who
feel that his voice and artistry do not warrant all the attention he is
getting.  Some of this is probably "sour grapes", some of it is right on
target concerning list member standards.

As for me, I've heard little of the man's singing.  In fact, the only time
I heard him at all was on some TV awards show, and I thought he sounded
great.  And, he was doing a duet with a country-western singer who has a
fine voice; he made her sound like a little mouse.

I don't know when I'll be hearing him in some "serious" music, but I do
hope that I can keep the popularity angle out of the equation.  He deserves
that much.
