The New York Times recently reported on a new record label in which the
artist retains ownership of the recorded material while the label sees
to the distribution and manufacturing process.  This sounds like a stroke
of genius to me.  Has anyone seen any discs from the Avie lable here
in the US? From the sound of it, the material that is being recorded is
interesting and adventuresome.  Below is the link to the article if anyone
