American Pianist Jeffrey Biegel Presents Scandinavian Premiere
of Restored Manuscript Edition of Rhapsody In Blue
April 19 Performance with Bergen Philharmonic

New York, NY - The American pianist Jeffrey Biegel will present the
Scandinavian premiere of the restored manuscript edition of Rhapsody
in Blue on Thursday, April 19, 2001 with Norway's Bergen Philharmonic,
conducted by Michael Stern.

Jeffrey Biegel has been presenting this Rhapsody in Blue across the
United States and in Europe.  He performed the American Premiere of the
restoration in June of 1997 with the Boston Pops and subsequently with
orchestras across the U.S., including the St.  Louis Symphony (July 1998)
and the Israel Chamber Orchestra under Philippe Entremont at Kravis Center
(West Palm Beach, Fla).  He also presented the German premiere of the work
with the Bochumer Symphoniker on December 31, 1999.  Much more information

The manuscript edition of Rhapsody in Blue was restored through research
with the cooperation of Washington DC's the Library of Congress by the
pianist and musicologist Dr.  Alicia Zizzo and has been published by Warner
