I have been listening to the Mathis der Mahler symphony constantly over
the past few weeks after discovering it recently.  It is intriguing and has
some very powerful string melodies, as well as periodical moments of sheer
and glorious beauty.  I especially love the way Hindemith orchestrates the
flute in this piece.  It has instantly become one of my favorites.
