I have some additional information regarding the Hanssler Bach-edition.

In the process of ordering this Bach edition, I discovered that this is
NOT the original Hanssler set, but one that is licensed to and manufactured
by a Czech company called b.m.s.

Apparently, it's got a new cover design, and instead of the thick 200-page
booklet included in the original Hanssler edition, the contents of the
booklet is now found in two CD-ROMs that are included in the set.

Also, I heard that the b.m.s. set is missing the partitas, and one
member of my Korean classical music club inquired about this to the
retailer (zweitausendeins.de) and received the following reply: "We have
discovered this problem too and we are already including the missing CD
along with the double one included. So you will definitely get a complete
set, I can guarantee."

I haven't received my copy yet (I expect it will take about one more
week), so let me get back to you with more details when it does.

And I would like to offer my sincere apologies that in my rush to make
the information available to fellow listers ASAP, I failed to check the
facts more thoroughly before making my post on this subject. I hope I
haven't caused anybody any inconvenience.
