I solved my problem with Respighi's "Ancient Airs and Dances" which now
plays at a consistent volume throughout.  Chalk it up to a bad pressing.
Antal Dorati and the Philharmonica Hungaria never sounded better.  My
dealer, CD Warehouse, has a very good exchange, and credit, program as
long as you have a receipt.  Thanks for your interest.
