I apologize for any injuries I may have caused to others' preferences.

The real point I was subterraneaningly trying to reinforce was that
saying no one has written anything AS good (even "great" in the majority
of knowledgeable opinion) since the War Requiem is not the best way to
declare that no one has written anything GOOD since.
