>Unfortunately, the days of CM on FM appear to be numbered.

I am not sure whether this is true in general. In Europe, many radio
stations have own orchestras. Of course they broadcast taped concerts
of their own orchestras. While I have easy access to the concerts of the
NDR's symphony orchestra in Hamburg (I live just 15 mins from the concert
hall) and go there rather frequently, I have no radio at home anymore. I
have only a CD player. Why? The quality of the music on the radio here
isn't bad at all! However, I prefer to listen to my own choice of music at
the time I choose. Does this mean classical music on FM is dead? I don't
think so. Most of the people I know never go to a concert, but exclusively
listen to classical music on the radio.
