Well, you certainly haven't heard any that *I'd* consider worthy of the
work.

Hmmm, mono: Furtwaengler (1942, 1954) among others

Stereo: Karajan 1961 (only for Gundula Janowitz in the finale), Jochum
(1979 EMI, although Kiri is fairly clueless in the finale), Kubelik 1982
(Orfeo, live).

HIP: Bru"ggen (Philips) (and before anyone suggests JEGm, I have it and
I don't rate it).

These are the ones that stand out in my memory, without getting into the
minutiae of Wengartner vs.  Furtwaengler vs.  Abendroth etc...
