I am currently writing my thesis on honeybee morphology and related
aspects. I have found a large intracolonial variance of honeybee size
which could be explained to comb age. There is a correlation of
honeybee size and comb age whereby the cell size decreases with age
(cocoon build-up).
I would like to know if anyone knows of any citable references to
prove this phenomenon or has experience/suggestions about it.

Thanks in advance
Gavin
