Adony Melathopoulos at Simon Fraser University in Canada was studying this.
He used to be a regular contributor to this list, but he has not posted for
a long time so I am not sure if he still is.
 
The last time we communicated I believe he said that neem DID have control
effects on the mites, but that the levels that bees could tolerate were not
well enough known.
