Yes, I have seen this 
a couple months back in a remote part of my county
I boxed two swarms the second with several virgin queens
issued just short of two weeks from the first,
both clustered not only 
on the same tree but the exact same branch... about
30ft from the colony nest built in the rafters of a house
built sometime in the 1890's
