Hi all,

I have to echo Aaron Morris on his good advice. I like to make splits in the spring and for me to do that I need to get them going early. This means that once I get them going I can't stop, and I could even starve them if I didn't watch their stores. It's important to know how your bees are going to react when you jumpstart them. Nature will prepare the bees on its own for the spring flow without your help, and the timing will be perfect. This is a manipulation you should only attempt if you have done your homework.
