Hi Lionel:

When the honey is metabolized by the bees it is converted into water and 
carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide will leave the hive quite quickly, but 
the water will condense on any cold surfaces and will freeze or run away 
depending on the temperature of the surfaces. Some of the water will be 
retained by the bees.
