yes, you are correct if this was a contract but I suspect the intent is not so.  It is more like an informal recognition that the bee keeping items you have placed on the land are yours and not the landowners.  It is also an opportunity to confirm that there is no consideration and no implication of future consideration for being able to enjoy such use of that land.
