I agree 100% with this post.  It is really hard to "prove" causation of a disease sometimes.  You can get as much data as you want and there are still other possible answers.  Just like some folks are still convinced that the human immune deficiency virus does not cause AIDS but think the real cause is illegal drugs and the virus is just along for the ride.  About the best you can ever do on causation is get enough data to convince most people, but even then expect some to question that conclusion.
