In my experience, PMS usually shows in prepupae and pupa.  Melanization,
and eventual removal by bees.
EFB typ in younger larvae, up to L4.  Turning yellowish (no melanization),
white tracheal net showing, twisting in the cells, nowadays with sour milk
smell.
