Sorry to point this out, but woodlands have tree pollen. Tree pollen is so much better than the pollen available in most crop areas that this one factor just has to outrank any other consideration.  



Chris: They also have propolis, the presence/absence of which may have an effect on the health and well being of bee colonies.
