I have two horses, two dogs and a cat. My hives are in the pasture with the
horses and both get along fine. The horses graze near the hives, keeping the
grass down and the bees don't bother the horses any. My cat and my dogs
wander out with me when I feed the horses and I have seen them walking near
the hives. Once again, the bees don't bother them and they don't bother the
bees. One of my dogs was stung by a yellow jacket a while back and her face
swelled up horribly. We had to get her injected with epinephrine. That
experience probably taught her to stay away from flying insects. The other
dog eats yellow jackets without any problems. Don't know if this information
helps.
