$535 per metric ton (wet weight, 77%) picked up from a tanker car at the
Moncton, New Brunswick rail yard; good to compare with Claude's sucrose
price in New
Brunswick. $598 for a twenty ton load delivered in PEI.

When converted to dry weight in order to compare with the sucrose syrup
Claude quoted it is $800 per tonne delivered here and sucrose would be about
$400 per tonne more (50% more). I realize that sucrose is somewhat better
for overwintering, but it is worth that price difference? I had good
overwintering last year on HFCS 55. And if I just want a few tonnes I can
drive over to Moncton and my truck can haul five totes (about 7.5 tonne).
