This is a touchy subject.  For many, paywalls prevent reading the latest
scientific literature.  Pete does a fantastic job at providing the List
with snips of interest from that literature.  I try to review and apply the
most recent scientific findings in the articles that I publish in ABJ and
then post to my website.  Since my website has a search function, it's a
potential source for information on many aspects of bee biology not found
in typical textbooks.

When we get into arcane subjects, the List becomes a place for education as
well as discussion.  All should realize that the shorthand used in email
communication can easily lead to misunderstandings that were unintended.
