Richard Spiekhout asks what brood looks like. The entomologists at Penn
State (Scott Camazine, Maryann Frazier, Jennifer Finley et al) have put a
bunch of great pictures about bees up on the web - check out
http://www.psu.edu/dept/beehive/photgal.html. There are some excellent
brood pictures in the honeybee diseases section. For those of you
accessing the network via lower speed modems - beware - there are a
LOT of pictures in this section of the Penn State website, and they may
take a while to download.....
