Last year two hunter/trappers wanted to buy some wax to “camouflage” the
smell in the traps that had caught bobcats and the like.  [Possibly
bobcats are the most skittish, sneaky, and elusive of them all, in my
experience: they outsmart your average dogs and take whatever fowl they
want, intermittently]  Don’t know exactly how they recoat the metal-trap
with hot-wax, but they were glad to get some [mostly slum-gum] from me
free.
