Anyone seen any studies or literature that discuss pollen grain averages in honey?

Take a measured tablespoon full of honey from your honey and mix it with 99 tablespoons full of distilled water.  Agitate it briskly for about three minutes just to make sure that it is evenly dispersed and then place a few drops on a grated slide and exam under a microscope.  With that slide you should be able to get an estimate of how many grains of pollen are in your honey sample per volume, whether it be ounces, pints, quarts, whatever.  Trick is to know what you are doing but it's possible for you and I to do that if we make the proper preparations.  There is a bit of math involved as well.  <GRIN>.
