One thing to be concerned about is if the pump you bought is certified ok
for food.  Not all plastics and pump mechanisms would necessarily be
appropriate.  Certain syrups, ketchup and mustard are sometimes in pump
containers for easy dispensing, but I suspect that these are only for 1
gallon containers for "stadium" use.
