I guess that is your answer, Peter, for next year. 

Maybe you need to ask for the long-term historical average.  That is what 
counts, because in some years, even unpromising hives can get bumper 
crops.  I have seen it with my own eyes.  In some years, you just can't 
miss, but what you accomplish over the long run is what counts.

I realise that people often gauge themselves more by what they expect (or 
hope) to achieve than what they have actually done, *but* others gauge 
them more by what they have actually achieved, than what they might be 
able to do.
