There is also in interesting bias that I have been studying,  No defined term for it as I see it,  but  a recent author refers to it as "the impala in the Biltmore"  simple explanation,  no Impala no story.

Has a lot to do with why we are not seeing reports of negative findings on certain pesticides. (among other things of course)  Some groups in medicine have gone as far as creating publications for negative results,  in the hopes of eliminating replication of the same results.

Current application that drives me nuts is the neonics of course,  huge publications every time we find something bad,  not a peep when we see exposure and overall pesticide usage is dropping.   Part of it is of course confirmation bias,  but a portion of it is also,  no Impala.
